Caleb appointed to the faculty at the highly respected University of North Texas College of Music

Caleb’s colleagues here at Canadian Brass are very proud of him, stating, “UNT has just hired one of the finest trumpet performers & educators on the world stage today. We know this to be true because we are honoured to have been touring the world with him for the past five years and look forward to continuing this journey together for years to come. For Caleb to join the prestigious faculty at UNT is a perfect match.”

Blending a world-touring performance position in the Brass alongside an ambitious teaching position is no problem for Caleb. He is welcoming this challenge saying, ” I am beyond thrilled to join the remarkable faculty at UNT! For me, a life in music is about sharing, both through performance and teaching. Canadian Brass and University of North Texas College of Music are two of the premier international institutions that lead the way in both these aspects.”

The Dean apparently recognizes Caleb’s extraordinary abilities: “We are excited to welcome Caleb Hudson to the faculty of the College of Music at the University of North Texas. His exquisite musicianship and passion for teaching are certain to make a transformational impact here. These are special times at UNT and we could not be more delighted to welcome Prof. Hudson to our College.” ~ John W. Richmond, PhD, Professor and Dean of the UNT College of Music.

The members of Canadian Brass already have many friends amongst the celebrated faculty at UNT and we have confidence Caleb will prove to be a valued colleague to them. And of course it is our hope that this will also suggest much greater presence of the Brass in Texas!
